Repair Process

How it works

  1. Book your vehicle inspection.

    Step

Get in contact with us to schedule an initial inspection. We’ll assess the damage and document it with photos and notes, explaining any visible damage and potential hidden issues. If your car is undrivable we can come to you or arrange a tow truck.

  2. Remove tyres.

    Step

The tyres are removed from the wheels and marked for precision and rotation.

  3. Prepare wheel surface.

    Step

The wheel is sandblasted in a special blasting cabinet to remove paint, grime, and dirt.

  4. Thorough wheel inspection.

    Step

Once the wheel is fully cleaned, it is much easier to see if there are any cracks or structural damage. At this stage, we will notify you if there is any damage to the wheel that requires further repairs.

  5. Machine finish.

    Step

Machining to remove damage from the surface of the wheel. If the damage is very deep it can be filled.

  6. Apply paint finish.

    Step

The wheel is painted and then coated with a clear lacquer in our spray booth.

  7. Diamond cut for polished alloys.

    Step

For diamond cut alloys, the wheel is machined on our CNC lathe for a polished effect before applying a protective lacquer.

  8. Refit tyres and balance.

    Step

The tyre is refitted to the wheel and balanced. Final checks are carried out to ensure the repair is complete.

QualityRepairs

Our repair experts use the latest tools and methods to restore your car in just 24 hours.

  • Can my alloys be refurbished?

We can repair all sizes of alloys with light, medium, or deep scuffs using our specialist alloy repair machine and tools. We do not repair alloys with structural damage, buckled or cracked alloys, or alloys with rust.

  • How long will it take to refurbish my alloys?

For 1-2 alloys, it will take 24 hours. For 3-4 alloys it will take 2 days.

  • What are the most common types of alloy wheel damage?

Scuffs, scrapes, and dents from kerbs or potholes are the most common. The damaged area often needs repainting to restore the wheel.

  • What’s the difference between a normal alloy wheel and a diamond cut wheel?

This is something we get asked often.

A traditional alloy wheel is painted or a wet spray technique often in one colour.

Whereas a diamond cut wheel has a part polished metal face. The rest of the wheel is painted and has a two-tone effect and on close inspection, fine lines are visible on the polished part of the wheel.

  • Can you repair alloys?

We do not fix structural damage to alloy wheels, damage that has buckled or distorted the wheel, severe kerbing, or corroding which affects the wheel’s structure. If your wheel falls into one of these categories then we will get in contact to let you know.

  • Will my alloys look new?

We aim to give your wheels the best finish possible. While most alloys look like new, the final result depends on the original condition.

  • Can you supply new tyres?

Yes, we can also supply new tyres and wheel balancing. If you need new tyres then we recommend having them fitted either before or at the same time as the repair. Simply let us know when booking.
